Building a hub of creativity and innovation
Ultrafabrics is a high-end material produced in Japan, developed to interact with and respond to the human senses. Serving creatives across industries—from automotive and airline interiors to high-end furniture and fashion, Ultrafabrics wanted to build a creative hub that would showcase the material and serve as a physical expression of the brand. The goal was to create a space that felt both tactile and immersive
I was appointed to run the process from showroom concept development to interviewing leading interior design firms and managing the construction of the space and custom furniture by Japanese craftsmen.
Working in close collaboration with Copenhagen-based design studio OeO, the UF Global Showroom was conceived and constructed on time and budget over nine months. It opened during London’s Clerkenwell Design Week 2018, receiving praise from the design community and press alike.
